Good morning everybody out there in cyberland, this is Willi Prittie reporting from the South Col.

Everybody's had a relatively comfortable night. It was extremely cold. My estimate is below 30 below Celsius. With the help of bottled oxygen, everybody slept reasonably well to exceptionally well. There were also reports of several tents vibrating due to extreme snoring up here.

But, the 100-band...of oxygen masks tended to mute the snoring a little bit. I know my tent partner Joe definitely contributed to that, but it's good anyway because it indicates very good sleep going on up here and that's what we want, very good rest and recovery for our summit attempt that's going to be happening tonight.

"It's a beautiful, beautiful morning up here, almost no wind, maybe 2 knots of wind right now. Almost unlimited visibility..."
Other than that, everybody's feeling well this morning. Our Sherpas got here and they bring around hot drinks, and also... which is very, very much appreciated. It's kind of an interesting turnabout for me as a guide because I needed to lay in that position for 800...But I much appreciate it.

It's a beautiful, beautiful morning up here, almost no wind, maybe 2 knots of wind right now. Almost unlimited visibility, we can see... a very famous peak to the east, excuse me, west of here. Also, we think we can see Manaslu well to the west of here, another 8,000-meter peak and of course, Cho Oyu, to the west of here, another 8000-meter peak, is sticking up like crazy.

So we're going to try to rest, enjoy the scenery, take some photos, rest again this evening and really recover and eat as much as we can as well to power our summit bid which is going to be happening this evening.

So we'll keep you posted on that and sent frequent updates and that's all for now from the South Col of Mount Everest at just under 26,000 feet, our high camp at Camp IV.
